Business Owner Carrie Macrillo inside her business, Radiant You Wellness.
Radiant You Wellness offers Yoga and Wellness Classes, Energy Healing, Intuitive Readings, and Essential Oil Consultations. This local business in Palmyra wants to help serve the mind, body, and spirit of their students. Business Owner Carrie Macrillo wants to connect with her community holistic tools that practice self-love, self-healing, and complete acceptance of oneself. Her journey in creating Radiant You Wellness was a spiritual process and not thought of overnight.
Carrie was born in Rochester and raised in Canandaigua. She studied Business Administration from FLCC and earned her position at Paychex as a Product Owner/Analyst. However, her credentials did not fulfill her wellbeing. In fact, the stress would sometimes amplify something that she had a problem ever since she can remember. Carrie had severe panic attacks and high anxiety; and taking medication did not help. Her body would react the opposite way than what the medicine was intended for. Only eight years ago she found alternative tools that would help her with her health – essential oils, reiki energy, and meditation. From then on, she felt at home because her health dramatically improved. On her spare time, she spent learning all things holistic to the point she started a wellness room at work.
After she earned her Reiki and Restorative Yoga certifications, she started Radiant Your Wellness in Fairport with her good friend Nicki, for 3 years.
Following the COVID-19 shutdown last year, it was a blackout period for Carrie. All work and no play. But during this time there were long periods of self-reflection, opportunities to slow down her work mindset and the ability to continue in her Yoga and Ayurvedic Certification programs. Her lessons led her to no longer continue in Fairport and start in Palmyra. However, the business impact would be something different and bigger than herself. A place where diverse holistic instructors can lead their own classes and the students can choose how they can start their spiritual journey. With that, these services are incredibly unique and as Carrie advises, “it’s a process and not a quick fix. You’ll need to go through the mud to get the lotus.” Years from now, Carrie sees Radiant You Wellness as an inclusive wellness center accessible to the public of Wayne County and the surrounding area. Her vision is to create scholarships for the community and expand Radiant You Wellness.

Carrie Macrillo is a Member of the Western Wayne Chamber Commerce. She advises other aspiring entrepreneurs “to really follow your passion, it’s a lot of work. I tell my kids to find a job that they love and not for money. You can get laid off or fired and still be unhappy. Inversely you can be happy and not make a lot of money.” Carrie’s business mindset is philanthropic and spiritual.
