My name is Henny O’Connor. I’m a mortgage loan originator with Haus Capital Corp (mortgage broker). I was born and raised in the Netherlands. After marrying my American husband, who was in the Air Force, we moved to England and lived there for 6 years. Our daughters, Jessica and Emily, were born there. In 2000, we moved to the US. I started working at a bank (then Ontario National Bank, now Community Bank) as a call-in teller. After 6 months, I became a CSR, and after that, I became a loan officer. I'm involved with Habitat for Humanity. I was chair of the homeowner's service committee for Ontario County. Wayne County, Ontario County, and Monroe County have merged to become Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity. I'm now on the board and chair of their Partner Family Committee. I'm very involved with BNI (Business Network International). BNI is a networking organization, and we meet once a week at 7:30 in the morning. I've been president and VP of my chapter and am currently a mentor coordinator. I'm also a director consultant for BNI, which means I support 3 additional chapters, help them grow, and help their members succeed. Furthermore, I also do all the onboarding for new BNI members in the Rochester area. I love to travel (mainly to Holland to visit my family) and love photography as well. We have 4 cats: Ella B, Coco, Peanut, and Drama.
Here at the Western Wayne Chamber of Commerce, we see the value in every type of business owner. We want to be a catalyst for positive change. Since our beginnings in 2018, we’ve been driven by the same ideas that we initially founded our non-profit organization upon – support, empowerment, and progress for our local businesses in Marion, Macedon, Palmyra, and Walworth. We host networking events and grand opening ceremonies and promote local businesses.
